Rueda Blanco, Vinos Sanz
Rueda in northern Spain remains relatively undiscovered by British palates; hence this remains very modestly priced. It is, however, well worth getting to know as it has a lovely, rich, nutty mouth filling flavour and a lovely balance of fruit, alcohol and crisp acidity.

Petit Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc
Wonderfully aromatic and pungent Sauvignon Blanc from just outside the Sancerre region and much better than many of the wines bearing that name. Crisp and dry with a distinctive flavour of gooseberries and asparagus.

Barossa Vines Semillion
A white wine packed with tangy citrus and ripe tropical fruits flavours. This is a really moreish wine.

Macon Villages, Domaines des Teppes de Chatenay
Outstanding Macon with a wonderful intensity of flavour dominated by green apples, nuts and honey. In spite of its super rich fruit it possesses a near perfect balance of acidity, giving it a crisp clean finish.

Chablis, Domaine de Vauroux
Crisp and flinty Chablis that has been fermented and matured in stainless steel to retain all the fresh, citrus flavours of the Chardonnay grape, deliciously full, dry white

Sancerre Les Baronnes
Fabulously scented from the central vineyards region of the Loire Valley. Thus has a glorious aroma of crushed blackcurrant leaves and gooseberries combined with a full dry steely finish.

Cousino Macul Chardonnay
Unoaked Chardonnay that is still rich and satisfying, full of ripe tropical and citrus fruit flavours.

Williams Well Chardonnay
A very appealing, easy to drink wine, showing a good balance between rich fruit flavours and a subtle use of oak.

Dr L Riesling
Ernie Loosen was made "Gault Millau" German Winemaker of the Year for good reason, as this wine shows. Beautiful, clean fresh fruit flavours balanced by a touch of sweetness showing real class.

Soave Classico Superiore, Azienda Agricola Pra
Produced from some of the finest vineyard sites in Soave this wine exhibits the classic lemon and almond notes along with a rich backbone of soft fruit flavours.

Old Coach Road Sauvignon Blanc
Lively, characterful Sauvignon Blanc from Nelson in New Zealand, plenty of gooseberry and guava fruit with a hint of freshly cut grass and crushed blackcurrant leaf.

Candidato Tinto
“ Baby Rioja” from Martinez Bujanda. Produced from grapes grown outside of the classifies area, this cannot be called Rioja but the telltale flavours of Tempranillo fruit, together with 9 months maturation in American oak casks offers a clear indication as to its pedigree.

Conde de Valdemar Rioja
Very fine Rioja from Martinez Bujanda, one of Spain’s most respected bodegas. Even after two years in oak this remains intensely rich and ripe with the soft, smoky vanilla characteristics of the casks adding further definition and complexity

Brown brothers Shiraz
Gorgeous Shiraz from the most respected of family-owned Australian wine producers. Rich and leathery with a lovely brambly fruit and a hint of smoky oak character on the finish

Fleurie, Domaine de Grille Midi
Charming cru Beaujolais with a sweet scent dominated by flavours of cherries and raspberries.

Chateau Ramage la Batisse 1996
This wine is packed with berry fruit flavours and offering a long finish. This is a wine of real pedigree.

Moulin A Vent, Domaine de Grille Midi
One of the most full bodied styles of Beaujolais, this is still packed with the ripe cherry and bright red summer fruit flavours that you would expect to find, underpinned with the kind of complexity and structure that you don't usually expect.

Crozes Hermitages Domaine Thalabert, Jaboulet
From the highly rated Thalabert vineyard this shows all the rich dark fruit flavours, black pepper and spice that are the hallmarks of great Syrah.

Chateau Beaumont 1996, Haut-Medoc
Beautiful pure cassis laden fruit flavours are judiciously balanced by the use of oak ageing in this elegantly poised claret.

Volnay 1er Cru Robardelle, Domaine Rossignol Cornu
Plenty of raspberry and redcurrant dominate on the nose, with hints of truffle and spice adding complexity. In the mouth there is a lovely silky texture.
